A dual winner last year and has run some very creditable races this year none more so than last time out at Epsom. Came from too far back to land a telling blow on that occasion but finished well and should be able to get involved here.
This dual winner as a juvenile can probably be forgiven her run last time out over 1m4f although excuses are harder to find for her other poor run this season. 6f is the furthest she has won over and even this 1m1f trip may well test her.
Stable have a good record with "cast-offs" and this one cost £27,000 from the John Gosden yard having failed to progress for him. On his bare form he has something to prove but the stable have turned around this sort before and one to watch in the market.
Makes his handicap debut here having built on his promising debut with a win at Kempton Park over 7f when taking a maiden. The initial mark doesn't look too onerous and a mark of 85 may well underestimate his ability.
The promise of his initial run was shown to good effect when winning on his only other start as a juvenile at Salisbury. Has shown up well in two handicap starts so far over a mile with a hood worn for the first time on his last start (retained here) and both handicaps that he's run in look to be decent form.
Looked as though he needed to improve to score off his mark when winning at Ascot in a competitive affair over a mile. Failed to follow-up that victory over 2f further at Epsom last time out off a 5lb higher mark and he'll need to confirm his Ascot improvement to take a hand here.
Showed some useful form as a juvenile taking a Kempton Park maiden and looking better than her final placing in a Newmarket nursery on her last start as a two-year-old. Looks the type to make a better three-year-old and sure to take a hand if she doesn't lack for fitness here in a competitive heat.
Already been with a couple of previous yards before his current one for whom he made a creditable debut at Doncaster over a mile. That trip looked a little on the short side but he wasn't knocked around and going handicapping over this trip may well show him in a better light.

Intrepidly (5/2), War Chief (4/1), Blushing Rose (5/1), Hajaj (13/2), Dr Julius No (7/1), Zamalight (7/1), The Statesman (15/2), Comedy School (20/1), Shamrokh (25/1)
There are a few in this that could well improve now that they go into handicaps but DR JULIUS NO will be more at home on this track and he’s given the vote to back up his good run at Epsom last time. Intrepidly could be dangerous making his handicap debut off what looks to be a good mark and the same could be said of another handicap debutante in The Statesman. Blushing Rose might just need this but has the credentials to make a decent member of this age group with War Chief another to throw in the mix having shown some good form so far in handicaps.
- Dr Julius No
- Intrepidly
- War Chief
