Did it nicely at Perth last time out, quickening up well when asked, and having now won on heavy and good ground, versatile as far as that goes. Penalties to carry here make life harder but in good heart, and trip ideal.

Looked a little disappointing at Ffos Las two starts back, finding less than expected for pressure, but made no mistake in a minor contest at Cartmel last time out. This is harder, but it will be disappointing if this smart Flat sort hasn't got more to come.

Won only point-to-point start at Tralee but that race fell apart, and second exposed as moderate under Rules since. Yard going well enough but probably best watched on hurdles debut today.

Showed a glimmer of promise on debut in a bumper at Musselburgh last year, but very little since, and appears to be biting off a bit too much here.
Did win one on the Flat in France, but three runs for this yard so far have revealed little. Looks one for handicaps further down the line.

Did win a point-to-point at Eyton last time but the form of that isn't strong. Only rated 58 on the Flat and will surely find easier opportunities than this.

Forecasts

Minotaur (4/6), Jimmy Breekie (7/4), Bere Haven (10/1), Dwynant (25/1), Main Fact (50/1), Strike Fear (100/1)

Verdict

The top two look the ones to concentrate on and this small field can once again play to MINOTAUR's strengths. He should have the speed to take care of Jimmy Breekie, doing little wrong at present but the concession of 6lb to the selection may prove a bit too much. Bere Haven looks best of the rest.
