Doesn't win too often but has kept some good company over the years and is at his best over 5f and with some cut in the ground. 7lb drop in the weights coming into this and takes a significant drop in grade too, so ought to be capable of being heavily involved at this level.
Has picked up at least two wins in each of the past three seasons, all over this trip, though on good/good to firm ground. Handles some cut and arrives in good form, having run well in defeat in two of his last three starts from similar marks. Should be very competitive.
His last two wins have been here with a C&D success last season (soft) from 5lb lower and then a win last time (6f, soft) on his first run for this yard. Had 3L to spare that day, so entitled to plenty of respect in his follow-up bid under a penalty.
Rattled up a four-timer last season, all over 5f and on both good to firm/good to soft, as well as the All Weather, rising 20lb in the process. Reappeared with a dead-heat at Redcar and was only beaten 1L back there last time from today's mark. Should be in there pitching.
Won at Lingfield (6f, AW) last month and goes into this 6lb higher. Drop in trip should not be a problem but both her handicap mark and her ability to act with cut in the ground are potential sticking points.
Has a couple of wins on good to soft to his name, the most recent at Ayr in August over this trip fro 1lb higher. Claims on that basis then, and has won since on AW (5f) in April, where his form is not quite as strong. Remained in good form back at Ayr last time and should be on the premises.
Loves to get her toe in as she showed when scoring for a third time with cut in the ground at York last month (5f) from 6lb lower. Held from this mark in a stronger contest last time, but should be able to have more of a say against this field.
Was giving Black Grass 6lb when the pair dead-heated at Redcar in April, so is now 8lb better of with that reopposing rival and finished just ahead of him when they met again at that track last time. Racing from the same mark again here he has claims and again looks as though he can just get the better of his old rival. Has won on good to soft.
Effective over both 5f/6f and loves some cut in the ground. 3lb lower than his last win (in 2015) and was 1L behind Casterbridge in receipt of 1lb when that pair met at Leicester last month, so may find it tricky to overturn that form now 4lb worse off. Likely to find a few too good.
Handles cut, as shown as Chester last time when a ¾L runner-up (5f, soft) on Saturday. Is kept on the same mark for this and now takes on older horses for the first time. Interesting.

Competitive stuff here with several having serious claims. Union Rose is the class horse in the field and gets both a drop in the weights and grade at the same time. If he could produce anything like his ability then he would probably win, though the yard could be in better form. Bashiba, Foxtrot Knight and Invincible Ridge are others who should be thereabouts, while Adam's Ale is much respected under a penalty. However, it could be worth siding with the three-year-old TWIZZELL here. She clearly has ability and is heading in the right direction, so she might be able to take advantage of her allowance.
