Has been placed three times in point-to-points and make his Rules debut. Represents a top yard which does exceptionally well with its bumper horses, so any market support would be significant.

By the increasingly-popular NH stallion Yeats, he was not disgraced when fifth of nine on his only bumper run at Ludlow last month. Normal improvement should see him figure more prominently.

By Arc winner Helissio, but has only a fraction of his ability judged on his debut 13th of 14 in a Ffos Las bumper in December. This better ground might help, but he can only be watched at this stage.
Has run in five-point-to-points, finishing a distant second in the last of them. Represents respected connections for the first time, but the evidence so far suggests this gelding has only limited ability.
Cst £15,500 as a 3yo and is a half-brother to bumper scorer Bevnott, winning steeplechaser Peterbrown and successful hurdler Abbotswood. Pedigree suggests he could have ability, so well worth a check in the market on debut.
Pulled up in a point-to-point in May, he fared better on his bumper debut over C&D last month, racing prominently until weakening in the last two furlongs. Should do better again.

Sixth on his bumper debut at Down Royal, he stepped up on that effort when third at Uttoxeter last month. Represents a top Irish stable and has every chance of making it third-time-lucky with crack jockey on board.
Debutant who hails from the same family as popular and top-class chaser Dublin Flyer. Represents a stable which has been going well and is worth noting in the betting.
Got off the mark in great style at the fist time of asking when spreadeagling her rivals at Plumpton last month. Clearly has plenty of ability and is a threat to all if able to replicate that effort.

Forecasts

Captiva Island (2/1), Drumlynn (11/4), Tis What It Is (5/1), Twentyoneblackjack (6/1), Madam Anna (8/1), Flying Verse (12/1), Templepoint (12/1), Cold Weston (14/1), Arctic Sword (20/1), Duffy Allen (25/1), Moonlight Haze (50/1)

Verdict

It may not have been the greatest race in the world which Madam Anna won on her debut at Plumpton, but she was most impressive and should be a major player in this. Drumlynn is respected on his first run for the champion trainer, but the selection is CAPTIVA ISLAND, who is on an upward curve for his powerful yard and has a top-class pilot for this type of race.
  1. Captiva Island
  2. Madam Anna
  3. Drumlynn
