Failed to score under Rules when trained by both Philip Hobbs and Gordon Elliott. Landed a maiden point-to-point in April for Martin Weston. First run for current trainer saw him finish a creditable third of seven over C&D earlier this month. Entitled to come on for that and is respected.
It's 16 races since he last won (1lb higher mark) but he has gone close on occasions, Not at his best when fifth of eight at Kempton when last seen in April and connections will hope a short break can spark a revival in fortunes.
Made his hunter chase debut in April when finishing ninth of 14 at Chepstow. That was slightly disappointing considering he had won three of his eight point-to-points, so more is needed switched to handicap company.
Five-times hurdle winner who had shown nothing since moved to his current yard before last time's second of six, beaten 20L, in a selling hurdle at Fakenham. Back over fences, he has plenty to prove.
Both wins came in bumpers back in 2015. Having his first run for current trainer when only ninth of 12 in a Ffos Las handicap hurdle in April. Started favourite that day, so much more was expected and it is interesting the champion keeps the ride on this debut over fences with a tongue tie fitted for the first time.
Placed only twice in 15 runs over hurdles, but made a pleasing chasing chasing bow when second of seven over C&D earlier this month. He was hampered a couple of times that day so can be rated a bit higher which certainly puts him in the mix here off the same mark.
Has won two point-to-points, but has fallen on his last two races between the flags. His only previous run over fences under Rules saw him pulled up at Newton Abbot last year and while he is young enough to improve, he can only be watched at present.
Form has been very modest over fences , but she was not disgraced when third of eight at Towcester last time, plugging on at the end. This sharper track is not sure to play to her strengths, so others are readily preferred.
Successful in an extended 2m2f hurdle at Market Rasen on good ground in June, 2016, and showed glimpses of a return to form in a handicap at the same track last month. Races off the same mark on his chasing debut and is one to consider.

Not many of these can be backed with any great confidence, but top weight Antiphony ran respectably over C&D last time and any improvement would give him sound claims. Cases can be made for Desertmore HIll and Primo Rossi on their chasing debuts, but the one to be on could be CRY FURY, who shaped well over C&D on his chasing debut despite being hampered a couple of times and should improve.
