Took a little while to get going last season but rounded off the campaign in good form. 3lb higher than his won at Goodwood and held on seasonal debut last time conspire against him from topweight here. Vulnerable on these terms.
Ran on well to nick first prize on the post at Thirsk latest (the form boosted by the runner up last Thursday) and feasible his 4lb higher mark isn't an insurmountable penalty. He does lack consistency though and possible this additional 1f will push him to the absolute limits of his stamina. A late betting check is advised.
Three-time winner over 1m at Ayr, so well suited by the surroundings. Looks weighted to the hilt and the fact he was last on his seasonal return raise enough cause for concern to look elsewhere for the winner though.
Kept good company lately and has been far from disgraced in defeat. Drop in class expected to suit and, with a skilful 5lb claimer aiding the cause, has to make the shortlist.
Versatile regarding the trip but may find this intermediate distance a little tricky. Form this season has also been below his best and comes here with a lot to prove.
Chasing his first win on these shores but fared respectably last time out over 1m here. More now required but has at least shown no ill-effects after being gelded and may have more to offer. Interesting if supported.
Understandably up in grade after two bloodless wins over 1m2f at this track and has to merit respect as an in-form contender. Still potentially well treated despite going up 10lb in the weights and may have a little more to offer whilst in such a good frame of mind.
Won well on the Tapeta at Newcastle on his penultimate start but no match for Gworn last time out. He is capable of better but not the most consistent of performers so there are sufficient grounds for looking elsewhere.
Better off at the weighs with Gworn from their last encounter and doesn't have too much to find to reverse the form. Also positive that he will be sharper for having a couple of outings behind him, so has to merit an interest on these terms. Sammy Jo Bell again assists with her 3lb claim.

Forecasts
Timeless Art (7/2), Royal Regent (9/2), Gworn (9/2), Dark Devil (11/2), Finn Class (7/1), Royal Shaheen (9/1), Zoravan (10/1), Le Chat D'Or (12/1), Maraakib (18/1), Spes Nostra (33/1)
A tough one to call as Gworn is obviously on a role and has won his last two starts with a little in hand. He is back up in the weights, though and no certainty to uphold the placings with Royal Regent on these terms. Therefore, it may pay to take any value available on TIMELESS ART, who will be suited by this trip and may be able to make the most of what is an ease i grade for him. Zoravan is also worth bearing in mind, while Royal Shaheen is another that may be capable of sneaking into the frame at decent odds if he gets the breaks in running.

- Gworn
