Now ten-years-old but thriving this year with pair of wins including over C&D in February. Had a lot of use made of him when only third here on Wednesday over 1m4f and this looks less competitive.
Beat the useful Firmament last year when with Hugo Palmer. Showed some promise on debut for new yard but has struggled in some hot handicaps since. Would comfortably land this if anywhere near his best and a market check is advised.
Has won here nine times and 5-7 in this class. Goes well for an inexperienced pilot and favoured by the weights here. Last couple of efforts, albeit in better company, have been a long way below expectations.
Improved for the longer trip and a drop in the weights to finish third here last time. Would be meeting most of these on better terms if this was a handicap.
Won a couple of races for David Simcock in 2015 but has failed to add to that tally for three trainers since. Shaped better last time but not favoured by the conditions for this event.
Winner of 10 races but without a victory in more than two years and was never travelling well last time. New headgear now tried but hard to recommend at present.

Mr Red Clubs (13/8), Strong Steps (2/1), The Gay Cavalier (3/1), Retrieve (7/2), Sooqaan (8/1), Steady Major (20/1), The Dancing Lord (50/1)
Strong Steps and Retrieve would be more than good enough to land this if at their best but there are no such doubts about THE GAY CAVALIER who is rated not that far behind them. An overdue victory at Lingfield on Saturday and a healthy weight allowance from his main rivals will make him hard to beat. Mr Red Clubs is always to be feared in this grade but his last couple of races have suggested he may be below his best at present.
