Front pair were 10L clear when she scored over this trip at Doncaster (good) last week and when she has hit form previously, she has done so for several runs, so it is likely that she can run up to that level of form again. If she does she will be very tough to beat carrying a penalty in this grade.
Placed four times but yet to win from 10 attempts and has not yet got back to the level of form that he showed in his first couple of handicaps last season. Still looks to be in the grip of the handicapper.
Half of his six wins have come on soft ground and his optimum trip is 1m, though he has won over this distance once, a couple of seasons ago. Wasn't beaten far from 6lb higher at Carlisle last summer and has the ability to make an impact.
Recorded his second career win at Thirsk in April (1m4f, good) from 3lb lower, though comfortably held as runner-up over the same trip at Brighton last time when racing from today's mark. Had placed form at this trip last summer that would make him very competitive at these weights, though has it to prove on softer ground.
Maiden after 16 starts and has not shown much in two runs back on the Flat after a spell hurdling. Won't mind conditions or the 2lb drop that the handicapper has allowed, but probably in need of further assistance before he breaks his duck.
Enters the handicap arena with a mark that looks tough enough for what little he has achieved in bumpers and maidens to date and looks one to watch for today.
Won a Wolverhampton maiden (1m½f, AW) in December and made a respectable handicap debut next time over 1m1½f at the same track. However, he has been unable to build on that and looks to have too much on his plate here.
Likes it here with a C&D win (good to soft) and two wins over 1m3½f to his name, all in 2015. Now 13lb below the last of those successes and form has largely been in freefall of late, so not easy to fancy this time from 1lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts
The Major (3/1), Melabi (3/1), Livella Fella (4/1), Maroc (13/2), Warfare (8/1), Paddy's Rock (10/1), Della Valle (10/1), Raashdy (12/1), Competition (20/1), Merchant Of Medici (20/1), Deinonychus (20/1)
A weak opener can go the way of LIVELLA FELLA. There was plenty to like about how Keith Dalgleish's filly won at Doncaster last time and he looks to have found her a good opportunity to follow up under a penalty. Warfare and Melabi look the most likely pair for the frame, though if there is a surprise to be sprung then it may come from either Haydock lover Merchant Of Medici or Paddy's Rock.
- Livella Fella
- Warfare
- Melabi
