Highly progressive sort who finished a distant third on the AW last time but all his best form has come on turf with cut in the ground. Looks set to resume progress here with the Champion Jockey returning to the saddle and conditions he ought to relish.
Course winner who won a Class 3 handicap over 2m here off a 15lb lower mark back in 2015 but all best form since then has come on the AW. Unsuited by softer conditions on turf and looks up against it.
Consistent sort whose best efforts have come on the AW with both of his wins coming at Kempton. Best effort on turf came on good to firm ground so may struggle in as competitive a race as this and unproven over this far.
Returned from 18 months off the track with a win at Windsor in April but couldn't follow that up at Kempton last time on the AW. Return to turf could see him in a better light and good chance he'll relish this step up in trip.
Won over this trip at Sandown last year but has struggled from his revised mark since that effort. Beaten favourite last time and while it's still early days, he has been taken out of races due to soft ground before so conditions unlikely to be in his favour here. First-time cheekpieces applied.
Winner on debut in France but 12 starts without a win since. Been running well for this yard, catching the eye on several different occasions without managing to win and due to go up a further 3lb for his most recent effort. First win on these shores unlikely to be far away.
Sole win in 18 turf starts came in France back in 2014 and largely struggled since. Keen going sort who hasn't shown anything on the Flat for this yard (did win a race over hurdles) and set to struggle again.
Just one win since 2014 and he's not the most straightforward sort. No form in softer conditions and still above his last winning mark; looks opposable with the yard a little quiet of late.
Getting better as she steps up in trip and off the mark last time out when she couldn't have won with much more ease at Bath. Bit of a jump in class here but she's dangerous to rule out and the 9lb rise in the weights looks fair.
Winner of a weak contest in France last year but handicap mark looks stiff on GB debut and he's likely to be in need of the run having not been seen since 2016.
Forecasts
Parliamentarian (10/3), Mr Khalid (7/2), Getback In Paris (6/1), Champagne Champ (6/1), Sam Missile (6/1), Admiral's Sunset (8/1), Gavlar (16/1), Glaring (20/1), Rydan (22/1), Age Of Wisdom (40/1)
CHAMPAGNE CHAMP may have been well beaten on the AW last time but he should appreciate this return to turf with the services of Jim Crowley in the saddle. Getback In Paris looks the main danger and is officially well in at the weights (due to go up 3lb for recent runner-up effort). Admiral's Sunset and Mr Khalid are both still improving and they're taken to play a supporting role.
- Champagne Champ
- Getback In Paris
