One win as a two-year-old for the trainer who boasts a 34% win and place strike rate in the last 14 days. The Dubawi gelding finished third of eight last time out in a Chelmsford handicap over 1m2f. Could well lead under jockey William Cox who rode a winner on Tuesday at Chepstow.

Won here in early May on his second handicap appearance over 1m2f, but found the 5lb rise and a further 2f too much at Doncaster on his last run seven days ago. Back to a trip the colt is comfortable at, he could give his apprentice a decent spin on just his fourth ride.

The Teofilo filly shaped well when winning on debut over this trip at Salisbury three weeks ago under jockey-Robert Winston. Trainer is in fine form at the moment with a 56% win and place strike rate, while he has a 30% strike-rate with his fillies this term. Experienced apprentice in the plate.

Finished six and half lengths behind Road To Dubai in a Goodwood handicap in early May. Has since gone on to finish third of eight in a Salisbury handicap over this trip. Well thought of when beaten on seasonal return on handicap debut at Windsor in April when sent off the 15/8 favourite. Jockey a winner of 15 races from over 200 rides.

Already battle-hardened three-year-old, the Mastercraftsman colt has still to lose his maiden tag, but put in his best performance at this track when second of 12, beaten half length behind Darkroom Angel in May, a race that has seen, fifth place, Arab Moon win a Kempton handicap. Apprentice is back riding in UK following three years gaining vast experience abroad.

Six race maiden who will have to up his game based on previous disappointing efforts. Course experience when third of seven in a class 5 maiden over 7f and fifth of eight when stepped up to 1m2f furlongs last time out in a Salisbury Classified Stakes at the end of the month. Apprentice has a decent record with six wins from 37 rides, including a win this month in a Lingfield handicap.

Seasonal debut for the Dalakhani gelding who was last seen finishing sixth of nine, beaten 5½L behind Tai Sing Yeh under jockey-Steve Drowne. Trainer has his string in fine form with three winners this month, including a win here with Thames Knight, under today's young pilot.

Kheylef gelding has not fired since making debut in April in a Doncaster maiden. Beaten a total of over 50L in his four starts. Young apprentice is one win from 29 rides.

Forecasts

Galactic Prince (7/2), Road To Dubai (9/2), Mam'selle (9/2), Leonidas (11/2), Alexander M (6/1), Fields Of Fortune (8/1), Harry Beau (10/1), Chunkyfunkymonkey (33/1)

Verdict

Richard Oliver could well be asked to try and make all on the Mark Johnston-trained Alexander M, who is good enough to take Galactic Prince and Harry Beau along with him before seeing them off as they come to the business end of the race, which could see the William Haggas-trained MAM'SELLE taking a hand late on. The filly and a fellow debutante came clear of an experienced field with the Haggas charge prevailing by a nose. The filly found more on the run-in and the experience and finish can only serve her well for this race.
  1. Mam'selle
  2. Alexander M
  3. Road To Dubai
