C&D winner who remains above his last winning handicap mark and was disappointing here the last twice over shorter, but who is capable of running a massive race on his day. Looks to be best at this trip nowadays and isn't ruled out.
Has enjoyed a good run of form recently, perhaps down a return to a sounder surface, which he should get again today. Handicap mark is creeping back up but he goes well at this course and seems particularly effective in fields of this sort of size.
Much more effective since recently switching to handicap company and ran a career best at Southwell last time (3m, good), when shaping as if this further step up in trip would be even more helpful. Has to have a big chance.
Only two runs over hurdles since December 2015, and though he hasn't been disgraced in some of his performances on the Flat, that lack of recent experience over obstacles is an obvious concern.
Has put in three tame performances since returning from a long absences in February, and is yet to rediscover his best form form before that absence. The first-time headgear may assist with that, but she is still a risky proposition.
0/11 under rules and now steps back up in trip to search for a first career victory. Beaten 33L in a similar race to this a Plumpton in February and is now a likely insufficient 8lb lower in the weights.
No win since February 2014 has to be a huge concern and he hasn't looked like ending that losing run in his most recent appearances. Down his career-low mark now but that may not be enough.

This can go to BLUE RHYTHM, who has been much better since switching to handicap company. He ran a career-best at Southwell last time out and looked as if a further couple of furlongs would be even more helpful for him, in addition to him being the obvious improver in the field. He is narrowly preferred ahead of Bostin, who has returned to form recently and looks to have things all his way here, while the claims of C&D winner Yukon Delta should also not be ignored.
