Promising type who won at Worcester last time (2m7f, soft) despite making several jumping errors. Should learn from that and wears first-time cheek pieces now, with the conditions unlikely to be an issue.
Slightly disappointing under rules so far, but showed some promise in point to points and almost certainly has more to offer. Whether that is in a novice hurdle containing the standard of rival he faces here is open to question, though he goes for some top connections. Tongue strap on for the first time.
Not disgraced in a pair of bumpers but finished the last of four runners in his debut over hurdles last time and is unlikely to find this a much easier assignment. Best watched.
Only moderate performances in three attempts at novice hurdles so far, and another minor role looks likely here, especially given the potential quality of some of these opponents.
Winning point-to-pointer and chaser under rules who makes his debut over hurdles here having romped to a 9L victory when last seen at Exeter in May. Interesting to see him switched to the smaller obstacles, but should be very tough to beat if able to prove as effective as when chasing.

It is intriguing to see TEMPESTATEFLORESCO making his debut over hurdles in a race such as this, at the age of nine. Perhaps Colin Tizzard felt his mark over hurdles had gotten too high, but regardless of the reasons he has to have an absolutely massive chance if bringing anything like his best form over fences to the table, given how he has run in some decent quality handicap chases. Steel Bob looks a promising sort and seems the only possible option with which to take on the selection, with Clo Sacre nominated as a very distant third best.
