Point-to-point winner in December and off the mark at the second attempt in a point-to-point bumper at Tipperary (good) over 2m2f last month. Has to defy a penalty but likely to run well in this.
Off the mark at the first attempt when winning a point-to-point at Stradbally (good) last month. Yard have a 50% strike-rate recently (2/4) and worth a check in the market here.
Registered his first success at the third attempt over 2m in a bumper at Down Royal (good) last month. Had run two solid races prior to that under this jockey and represents a leading yard in this.
Unraced daughter of Tajraasi. Half-sister to three winners including the useful Silver Kate but looks up against it on debut today.
Well held in a bumper and two maiden hurdles so far. Bumper outing came over 2m on heavy ground here last September and best watched today.
Unraced son of Stowaway purchased for €9,000 at the sales 12 months ago. Dam unplaced in three runs at two and probably best watched on debut.
Unraced son of Major Cadeaux bought for €4,500 as a three-year-old last August. Half-brother to a couple of winning sprinters on the Flat and others make more appeal in this.

Unraced son of Craigsteel cost €3,500 at the sales last August. Dam an unraced daughter of Luso and market is likely to provide the best guide as to expectations.
Pulled up in a point-to-point at Dromahane (good) when making his debut in April. More needed if he's to register a first success in this.

Unraced daughter of Robin Des Champs purchased for €2,000 as a foal in 2014. Full-sister to dual winning hurdler Tales Of The Tweed and small yard had a winner at Wexford last week. Wears a tongue tie for her debut.

Forecasts

Fabulous Saga (4/9), Mischievious Max (4/1), Scully's Dream (8/1), Stage Summit (9/1), Emergency Speed (16/1), Maeve's Choice (33/1), Crystal Kate (33/1), Ballycallan (33/1), Robbinphil (33/1), Humm Baby (50/1)

Verdict

Joseph O'Brien took this event in 2016 and his MISCHIEVIOUS MAX can follow up his Down Royal success under Tom Hamilton by giving the trainer a second consecutive win in this contest. Fabulous Saga won a bumper restricted to point-to-point graduates last time out and may find this tougher under a penalty while the four-year-old filly Robbinphil is taken to finish third on her debut today.
  1. Mischievious Max
  2. Fabulous Saga
  3. Robbinphil
