Won a 2m handicap hurdle at this course but is yet to jump a fence in public, so probably best watched this time around.
Brings a touch of quality to the race and will be very hard to master if he runs anywhere near his hurdles rating of 148. Good ground will suit him ideally.
Made a winning start over hurdles but was soon toiling. Three starts this year have been poor and has a lot to prove now he switches to fences.
Form in point-to-points and a hunters' chase needs to be improved upon. Hard to fancy on this occasion.
Switches to chasing after a fruitless five-race career over hurdles. Pulled up last time at Tipperary and has an awful lot to prove in this new discipline.
Solid performer over hurdles on his day - second in a Grade one at Wexford reads particularly well despite the small field. His form did tail off last year and likely to need this after just over a year on the sidelines.
Swapped hands for £150,000 at the Cheltenham sales a few years ago but has had limited opportunities since. His form in novice hurdles was progressive last year, so interesting to see him return at this level. One to monitor closely for an in-form yard.
Hurdles form is just ordinary and needs to improve dramatically for this switch to fences.
Useful in point-to-points but form over regulation fences leaves a touch to be desired. Surprising if a repeat of his recent fourth of seven at Wexford would be good enough.
Rated just 86 at his best over hurdles, likely others will hold more ammunition if they run to their best.
Won 3-from-15 over hurdles and has held his own in decent handicaps. Remains to be seen how much he can carry over to fences and others make more appeal.
Won a novice hurdle in good style here last July and shaped like a bright prospect. Still disputing second when he fell on his chasing debut at Limerick, so would be harsh to write him off too quickly. Should be thereabouts if he can negotiate a safe passage.
Plenty of experience over hurdles in France but hasn't really set the world alight on these shores. Made little impact in two chases in his homeland, though. Improvement needed.
First reserve., well backed winner of a point-to-point at Stradbally latest, but has a patchy over all record. Stiff test ahead if granted a run.

With solid form over fences being thin on the ground, it may be best to concentrate on those with the higher marks over hurdles. BAMAKO MORIVIERE stands out like a beacon on that score and is expected to give Ruby Walsh an exciting passage on his only ride of the day. Master Of Verse and Tesseract are taken to give the selection the most to do. Jeannot De Nonant is another that represents a top yard and, as he has some experience of fences, would be dangerous to ignore.
