Two career wins from 23 starts have come over hurdles and switches back from that sphere now. Best run, from four, over fences came over this C&D in similar event last June when second of nine.

Modest form in ten starts under rules, yet to win and has been pulled up in two most recent outings over hurdles. Chase debut here dropped back in trip and needs to improve for meeting these obstacles to land a blow.

Lightly-raced maiden though has placed in three of five runs over hurdles. Returns from a break now tackling fences for the first time, trip and ground should be fine and from respected yard there could be more to come at this game.

Yet to win over fences but has shown some hints of ability. Entitled to be fitter having reappeared over 2m4f (yielding) at Kilbeggan last month and wouldn't be out of this on best form.
Just the two starts over fences and ran a fine race over 2m5f on heavy ground in December when beaten just over 2L in finishing fifth of 12. Reappears now and there could be further improvement in the offing.

Won on hurdles debut at this track (2m5f, good) for Colin Bowe last August, didn't really build on it in two further outings over timber and well held already this term in a couple of beginners' chases. Has plenty to find seemingly though does like this track.

Fair hurdler though only managed to win once in eight starts. Makes chase debut now for yard going well and has a positive jockey booking that should benefit him trying these obstacles for the first time.
Not as good as some of these over hurdles but sole previous chase start came here over 2m6f (good) in October and looked booked for second (at worst) when unseating rider at the last fence. Is fit from hurdling and one to take seriously.

Encouraging run on second chase start last month at Roscommon (2m, good) when around 6L third of eight runners. Steps up in distance now and entitled to have a leading say.
Without a win in ten starts under rules, five of them over timber. Ran pleasing race on return from a break at Kilbeggan last month (2m3f, yielding) and could well build on that now making chase bow.

Maiden hurdle winner at Killarney last month (2m6f, soft, heavy in places) last month and makes immediate switch to this discipline now. Yard are going well and looks a likely contender in this field.

Forecasts

Une Lavandiere (3/1), Thats Mypresenting (9/2), Double Windsor (11/2), Sweet Shirleen (8/1), Burning Issues (9/1), Sam King (9/1), Tiliver (10/1), Forever Dylan (10/1), Usurp (14/1), Fenlon's Hill (25/1), Timmone (40/1)

Verdict

Tiliver showed some promising form last month at Roscommon over fences and can go well now stepped up in distance while Killarney maiden hurdle winner Une Lavandiere is worth noting now sent chasing for the in-form Meade team. It might pay to focus on a pair with previous chase form of sorts at this venue. Thats Mypresenting was a close-up fifth in December and could have more to offer on reappearance but, with fitness to boast from a recent hurdles spin, DOUBLE WINDSOR is given the nod. His only previous chase start came over a slightly longer trip in October here and he was jostling for the lead when unseating at the final flight. He would surely have grabbed place money at worst had he stayed up and might take away some compensation now. Forever Dylan and Sam King are others worth a look.
  1. Double Windsor
  2. Thats Mypresenting
  3. Tiliver
