Not the most straightforward horse and registered his second victory over Sedgefield's extended 2m3f course in a handicap chase on good ground when wearing cheekpieces for the first time a month ago. Races off a 7lb higher mark today and likely to run well if cheekpieces work for a second time.
Winner of nine of his 48 career starts including of fa mark of 100 in a handicap hurdle at Sedgefield (good) over 2m1f in April. Beaten 16L over fences off this mark at Hexham (good) last time out and has won over further in the past.
Well held since winning twice over hurdles last year. Handicap mark is falling as a result and now rated 16lb lower than when initially assessed by the handicapper. Worth a check in the market having finished well beaten on his chasing debut at Stratford (good) last month.
Successful twice already in 2017 including over an extended 1m7f at Southwell (good) in April. Finished third next time out and then runner-up off a 4lb higher mark over an extended 2m3f at Sedgefield (good) last month. Will have to defy a further 2lb rise to take this.
Winner of just one of his 20 starts over fences with that coming off a 23lb higher mark over an extended 2m4f at Bangor (good-to-soft) in March 2015. Finished 18½L third over an extended 2m4f at Kempton (good) last month and races off a 3lb lower mark here.
Finished 16L behind the winner when fourth of ten over 2m at Towcester (good-to-soft) under today's useful amateur rider last month. Most recent win came over this trip at Stratford (good) last July and he races from out of the handicap today.

WASHED ASHORE finished fifth on his chasing debut last time out and can take advantage of a falling handicap mark to register his first chase success here. The selection won twice over hurdles last year and represents a yard with a 19% strike-rate in recent weeks (6/32). Jonjo O'Neill's charge can get the better of Banny's Lad who hasn't always convinced with his resolution and is wearing cheekpieces for the second time today while Minella Forfitness, who has won off higher marks in the past can take third at the chief expense of Civil Unrest.
