Winner of two of his eight hurdles starts to date including when sent off 2/9 favourite over 2m at Ludlow (good) last month. Also successful on soft ground at Huntingdon this season and likely to prove hard to beat with a leading amateur rider taking 7lb off here.
Five time Flat winner and rated at a high of 92 in that sphere 13 months ago. Ran better than the bare result suggests given he made a blunder at a crucial stage of the race on hurdling debut over 2m at Kempton (good) last month but more needed if he's to take this.
Rated 77 when last tackling handicap company on the Flat in August last year and finished third on each of his two hurdles starts for this stable. Beaten 12L by an easy winner over 2m at Plumpton (good-to-firm) last month and has a fair bit to find with the favourite here.

AZZURI looks to have been found a good opportunity to register his third hurdle success by taking this opening contest. Trainer Dan Skelton and jockey Sam Davies-Thomas have a 33% strike-rate (6/18) when teaming up together and the selection looks capable of getting the better of Pasaka Boy who finished third on his debut over hurdles while Rasasee can claim third for the third time in succession.
