A mark this high could well cause problems as he's never won off one this high but he may well have needed the run last time out at Thirsk. Last win came over this trip and he is down in grade here so not totally written off.
Finally ended a long losing run with a fairly impressive win at Wetherby on his penultimate run at Wetherby over 5 ½f (had the run of the race though). Ran creditably under a penalty next time out over 5f and now tries 6f again off a 7lb higher mark than his win.
Drawn on the wide outside and would look interesting apart from that fact as he ran a race full of promise at Pontefract last time out (not well drawn and forced to make his effort too soon). Given the draw here the story could well be much the same again but one to keep an eye on off this mark.
Starts life for a new yard here having been previously with Marco Botti. Did win for his old yard on the AW at Kempton over 6f in February but well below that form in two starts since and needs to bounce back to form here,
Multiple winner last year and rose through the handicap with his last win coming off a mark of 75. Higher marks have brought his winning run to a halt but he did shape well last time at Newmarket (raced closer to pace than ideal) and edging his way back down to a winning mark.
Dual winning handicapper last year and comes from a yard that has made a decent start to the season. However he's yet to really fire this season and needs to show more to be of interest.
Already a dual winner over 6f this season with both wins coming on the AW off lower marks but is just as effective on turf. Hold-up sort though so hard to see a good draw in stall 1 being much use to him and will have to come from off the pace as he's done for his two wins this year.
Could be given a chance in this if he could repeat his third at Pontefract on his last run but ran well below form last time out and others have a better and more solid chance.

Quite an interesting contest and it’s a shame that Stanghow has been a little unfortunate with the draw again as he made plenty of appeal on his Pontefract form. Both Adam’s Ale and Florencio start out life for new yards and need watching in the market with Seamster working his way back towards a winning mark. It too LUCKY BEGGAR a long time to get back to winning form but he’s with a yard that does well with sprinters and he’s given the nod here off a mark that still makes him well handicapped.
