Looked to start taking a step forward when gaining placed efforts in two handicaps but took a step back last time out in a 5f AW maiden finishing very weakly (not for the first time).

Showed promise when winning a Lingfield maiden in quite cosy fashion building on her debut runner-up slot. Now switches to handicaps on turf after a break off a mark of 69 and looks set to make further improvement.

Best recent run came when he was fifth in a Ripon handicap but ran well below form last time out. Cheekpieces now reached for in an effort to find some much needed improvement.

Her form looks consistent enough but its only come in small fields and looks better than it actually is. Now goes handicapping but hardly looks one who is going to improve greatly based on what she's shown so far.

Her only win so far came in a Beverley claimer springing a big surprise at 66/1 having shown very little previously. That run marked the end of her season and although she stepped up on his reappearance last time out she looks to have a tough enough task of a mark of 59 again.

Placed three times as a two-year-old she did show speed on a few occasions and looked to have benefitted from her reappearance this year when taking the runner-up slot in a big field handicap at Redcar (5f, good to firm). Travelled well in that race and usually runs up with the pace so could be well suited by track and trip here off the same mark (58).

Looked to show improved form when second in a C&D handicap in April but failed to build on that on the AW last time at Chelmsford when favourite for a weak contest. Wouldn't be out of the question to see her bounce back here for a yard that continues to turn out the winners.

Forecasts

Berryessa (5/2), Glyder (11/4), Hamidans Girl (9/2), Joysunny (5/1), Prazeres (15/2), Lambrini Legacy (12/1), Newgate Sioux (33/1)

Verdict

Fairly modest fare but there are one or two in this that might be able to improve a little bit more with Berryessa looking to be one of those. Joysunny will need to bounce back to form but that’s possible back on turf with the surface possibly not suiting her last time. This track and trip look as though it will really suit GLYDER though after her run last time and she’s taken to land this 5f dash.
  1. Glyder
  2. Berryessa
  3. Joysunny
