Holds my far the most convincing form in the field given he has been running with some credit at a much higher level than this recently, and with the assistance of a top jockey and a first-time visor likely to help, he certainly looks the one to beat.

The sole C&D winner in the field and ran a good race here last time to finish second and out-run his odds in the process. Was simply too high in the handicap prior to that and he shouldn't be totally dismissed now running in claiming company once again.

Sayif filly who comes from a family of relatively little account (at least in terms of Britain and Ireland) and cost £3,000 as a yearling. Would be a surprise winner on debut.

Well beaten in a Nottingham maiden last June and was not better dropped to selling company for the first time at Beverley last time out. Easily dismissed on that basis.

Forecasts

Dutch Golden Age (1/7), Menelik (2/1), Point North (9/2), Digital Revolution (80/1), Baby Say Yes (100/1)

Verdict

If he turns up in the same form as many of his recent races, this should be DUTCH GOLDEN AGE's for the taking. Gary Moore's gelding has been running some nice races in much better contests than this and equipped with a first-time visor and a top jockey, it would be no surprise to see him win this with great ease. Menelik will almost certainly provide the biggest danger given his good form on the all-weather, and while the remaining trio are unlikely winners, the veteran Point North is the clear pick of them to complete the tricast.
  1. Dutch Golden Age
  2. Menelik
  3. Point North
