Maiden form didn't look particularly solid and his start to life in handicaps last month at Musselburgh confirmed that he already looks a little exposed. Slowly away he just plugged on and may need respite from the handicapper before being of interest.
Frontrunner almost got the job done on penultimate start over extended mile on good to firm at this track. Has since failed to back that up at Musselburgh six days ago but acts best here and no pushover if dictating things up ahead.
Best effort for some time over extended mile here (good to firm) 13 days ago, finishing third of eight beaten 2½L. Doesn't win many (1/30) but is now below that winning mark again.
Continues to look exposed in five Flat/AW appearances this year, most recently being beaten 24L in 1m4f AW event at Wolverhampton last month. Now 12lb below previous winning mark however. Second runner for the yard in this line-up.
Has seven wins in a 55-race career, though nothing since apprentice contest over 1m4f at Haydock in August 2015 off mark of 71. Too keen to get on with things in two runs this term, latest at Wetherby (1m2f, good) 17 days ago. Six of his seven wins have come at this track.
Mare never threatened any sort of blow on reappearance over shorter trip here last month. Had some good form last summer, including over C&D in July when 1¾L runner-up off 3lb higher mark.
Losing sequence now stands at 17, well held on the AW at Newcastle in January when last seen and hard to be confident in chances at the moment.
Ten-race maiden at least remained competitive over the mile on the AW at Newcastle last month, though still never deeded likely to breakthrough. Looks up against it again on current terms.
Mare attempted to make all in apprentice handicap at Ayr (1m1f, good, good to firm) last week but was reeled back, finishing fourth of 12 and beaten 2L. Drops 1lb for this and could go well again on second start back from a break.
Just one win from 27 starts on turf and well beaten at Brighton in October when last out on this surface. Is now 10lb lower in the ratings however and has posted some promising efforts on AW this year.

These are a modest bunch and it would be hard to get carried away on the chances of any but PENELOPE PITSTOP ran a credible race on her recent reappearance at Ayr, attempting to make all before being collared late on. She's also run well at this track in the past and might be worth siding with on the back of that positive showing. Amy Blair goes well from the front around here and is respected, though he may not get things his own way today. Mount Cheiron doesn't win often but is on a good mark if able to build on some of his AW form this year now switching to turf while the maiden Colour Contrast caught the eye recently on first start for this yard and might have more to offer. King Of Paradise and Cadmium have decent track form in the past, though neither have been convincing of late.
