Chased home the smart Wuheida on debut and then beat a couple of smart fillies rated 100 plus including the Prix Saint Alary winner Sobetsu. Not seen since beaten in the Fillies Mile but starts 2017 in handicaps on what appears to be an attractive mark and with the yard going well.

Good second to Fillies Mile winner Rhododendron in a Goodwood maiden. Dead-heated at Beverley before noted having no luck in running in a Newmarket nursery. Well supported favourite that day and races off same mark here. As a daughter of Champs Elysees she ought to improve further with racing and she arrives here with her yard in very good form.

Verdict

Ilaunmore has the benefit of two runs around here and has performed to a consistent level. She faces two fillies, SPATIAL and Amabalis, who are potentially well treated for their initial runs of the season. Amabalis showed plenty of promise in maidens before dead-heating when breaking her duck. She encountered all kinds of problems in a big field on her last start and was noted staying on well. SPATIAL was disappointing in the Fillies Mile but she was too keen that day and the run may be best ignored. The form of her two maidens prior to that could not have worked out better and she may have been let in lightly.
