Stayed on well to take a 3m hunter chase at Exeter (good-to-firm) under today's rider earlier this month but not quite in the same form in follow up bid last time on soft. Return to quicker ground and the step back up in trip should suit.

Appreciated the significant drop in class last time at Warwick to justify favouritism and this looks a similar contest as far as the quality is concerned. Would probably like to see a little rain to be seen at his very best but the one to beat nonetheless.

Useful on his day but not won since 2014 now and shown nothing in three starts for this yard. Signs jumping errors are creeping into his game and easy to oppose.

Has won three point-to-points but is yet to win under rules. Not disgraced on first start for this yard under rules last time and has been going well in point-to-points of later. Finished runner-up here twice (once over hurdles) but plenty to find on form.

Forecasts

Rebel Rebellion (2/7), Back In June (7/1), According To Trev (8/1), Mountain Cliche (16/1), Sebadee (16/1)

Verdict

REBEL REBELLION looks a class above this field and provided the forecast ground doesn't get too firm and inconvenience him, he should be very difficult to beat. It'll be interesting to see how Sebadee runs returned to action under rules having run well in a couple of recent point-to-points. Mountain Cliche may be best of the rest and he should appreciate the return quicker ground.
  1. Rebel Rebellion
  2. Sebadee
  3. Mountain Cliche
