Winner of this last year off 2lb lower and while he was a little disappointing over the winter, his comeback run at Haydock was promising. Will enjoy the drop back down in class and no surprise to see him run well again.
Not won since 2015 but mark is falling as a result and should win races again at some point, having proven his ability by rattling off a hat-trick earlier in his career. Entitled to come on for his comeback run though.
Recorded back-to-back wins around this time last year but has been frustrating to follow since. Beaten odds on favourite last time when fell at the last but looked beaten at that point anyway. First-time cheekpieces need to have the desired effect if he's to get his head in front here.
Scored twice in quick succession around this time last year but struggled off his revised mark until he produced a promising run at Worcester last time. Up 2lb for that not ideal but not without a place chance.
Improved markedly for the fitting of a hood on his last three starts but given a break since and usually needs his reappearance effort. One to watch this season and should have more races in him.
Multiple winner in France and been going well since joining this yard last year despite only winning one of his eight starts. Fair effort on the Flat over the weekend and still looks capable off this hurdles mark.
FLORESCO won this last year and he's taken to land the contest again returning from just 2lb higher. Volpone Jelois has been running well for his current yard and should be thereabouts yet again while Brotherly Company needs the first-time cheekpieces to bring him back to form in a competitive looking six-runner event.
