Drops into a claimer and despite having run some reasonable races he has still yet to score and faces a stiff task at the weights here.
Makes his turf debut here having run fifth in a claimer in France last time out but remains a maiden and that situation may well be the same after this race.
Still looks limited despite showing up relatively well last time out in a 6f Leicester seller and looks vulnerable at these weights.
Cheekpieces go on for the first time for this one who is starting to look disappointing overall. His mark of 72 means that he looks well enough in here at the weights but this trip appeared to stretch him last time out.
Another for whom the cheekpieces are reached for in a bit to revive. Wasn't beaten far on his first run of the year at Southwell but was well held in a Thirsk handicap last time out.
Rated just 45 he faces a stiff task here and he'll need to settle a lot better than he did last time to get anywhere near the principles this time around.
Placed in sellers and claimers in his last three starts this really does look to be his level and may well be suited by this 7f trip on pedigree and not badly in at the weights.
Turned in a fair effort last time out in a 1m4f maiden on the AW and that form gives her a chance here although the drop in trip might not be something that helps.
Started at 100/1 on both her last two starts and even in this modest company looks outclassed with her temperament also under question.
Forecasts
Black Bubba (5/2), Rag Tatter (7/2), Kings Academy (9/2), Allegheny Bay (7/1), Cookie's Star (8/1), Jet Setter (10/1), Stevie Brown (16/1), Trust The Indian (50/1), She's Rosanna (66/1)
Not a race that many will want to get too involved in and it’s basically bargain basement stuff with Kings Academy flattered by his rating of 72 and he’ll find it tough to give weight way all round. BLACK BUBBA has looked to be a consistent sort in this grade with the 7f looking to suit while Cookie’s Star has a chance based on her maiden form although the drop in trip might not be to her advantage. Rag Tatter looks well enough in at the weights but the trip is a question mark.
- Black Bubba
- Cookie's Star
- Rag Tatter
