Half-brother to three winners and looked to be well fancied in the market when only 7/2 on his debut at Pontefract over 5f. Ran green there and expected to know a lot more this time.

Finished last on his debut when starting at 40/1 at Yarmouth over 5f and will have ti step up on that run to take a hand here.

20/1 but shaped with plenty of encouragement when third in a Newbury maiden having every chance and should do better here with that race under his belt.

6/1
First foal by New Approach for a yard that van have first time out juvenile winners and should be watched in the market.
Half-brother to two useful winners, including two-year-old 6f winner Masai. Yard have a good strike rate with their juveniles over the last five years and he's worth of respect here.

Stable don't appear to be as forward with their juveniles this year but have still had one or two useful debutantes. His dam was unraced but he is a half-brother to a couple of useful types up to 6f.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: W Buick| T: C Hills
33/1
Well-bred sort whose price increased greatly from foal to yearling and is a half-brother to several winners. There looks to be plenty of stamina in the pedigree and he might just be better over further in time.

Horse silk
66/1
First juvenile runner of the season for a yard that is going well at the moment. He's by Wootton Bassett out of mare that stayed 1m2f so might just be better over slightly further but worth looking at in the market.

Frankel progeny are always likely to draw attention and this one is no different and he shaped well on his debut at Newbury under tender handling (travelled well) with George back in third. Sure to have come on for that run and a leading candidate here on his second start.

Forecasts

Westerland (8/15), Match Maker (9/2), Hey Gaman (6/1), George (9/1), Airshow (14/1), Moakkad (20/1), Admiral Spice (22/1), Rhosneigr (33/1), Fighting Irish (66/1), Vice Marshal (66/1), City Guest (100/1)

Verdict

The son of Frankel WESTERLAND is sure to be of interest in a race that has seen some decent types over the years and the two divisions will be of equal interest. Westerland is closely matched with George on their running at Newbury and that one should also be in the mix again. Match Maker is another to take the eye on his debut with Admiral Spice and Moakkad two more who are of note here.
  1. Westerland
  2. Match Maker
  3. George
