Hacked up here last week when the race developed perfectly for her. Hardly knew she had a race that day and drops in class. A 6lb penalty and forecast quicker ground raise some doubts as does the lack of an obvious pacemaker.

Beautiful pedigree being by Galileo out of a mare who won four times including two Listed races. Comfortably beat an 85 rated horse in a maiden last term and was well supported on her return at Bath on her first run back from an eight month layoff. Beaten by two fitter rivals that day and she promises to be suited by the longer trip.

Beverley winner who is running to a consistent level. Looks up to this standard but would appreciate some rain as she does not want conditions too lively.

Dropping down the weights having failed to threaten on her last two starts. Sole win on the Flat came three years ago and she is still above that winning mark. Rider 2-5 for the yard but she appears to need further.

Forecasts

Turning The Table (4/6), Lime And Lemon (7/2), Apres Midi (11/2), Tuolumne Meadows (6/1), Perfect Summer (9/1)

Verdict

Turning The Table was given a confident ride to score a week ago in a race run at strong pace. Connections will be relying on the proven stayer Perfect Summer to set a similar gallop in a race that could otherwise prove to be a tactical battle. The weather could play a part with both Turning The Table and Lime And Lemon hoping for rain prior to the off. APRES MIDI handles any ground and this classically bred filly is potentially better than we have seen thus far. Karl Burke's filly landed her maiden in good style last term and the bare form of that suggests she starts the campaign on a good mark. A run at Bath will have put her straight for this and she can score before going on to better things.
