Showed much improvement to easily take a handicap hurdle at Towcester last week, winning with any amount in hand. With that in mind a 7lb penalty is likely to be short of the extra weight allotted by the handicapper in time, and so everything looks set for another big run.

Makes her debut for this trainer with a 7lb penalty having hacked up in a Stratford selling hurdle earlier in the month. Was very impressive that day, especially as she got it all wrong at the final flight, but more on her plate now back in open handicap company.

Ran well over slightly shorter at this course last time and remains on the same mark now. This looks an easier assignment and another bold bid can be expected, especially with the conditional jockey claiming 10lb.

No win since September 2013 coupled with the fact he makes a habit of not finishing his races makes him an unattractive proposition with some better-handicapped choices in the field.

Verdict

This seems likely to be between the two recent wide-margin winners who carry a penalty today, with CAPTAINOFINDUSTRY preferred. He will probably go up further than the 7lb he has today on the basis of an easy victory at Towcester last week, when he won with any amount in hand and looked a much improved horse. He is taken to double up here, with Marienstar able to chase him home following an impressive win in selling company last time, despite getting the final flight all wrong. Knight's Parade could be next best given a recent good spin at this course.
