C&D winner last time out underlining her consistent form of late off a reduced mark. Up 4lb for that win her past form entitles her to be in the mix here.
More than likely found the 6f trip at Newmarket too short (off the bridle for much of the race) and she'll be suited by a return to this 7f. Can look rather awkward and quirky though and often slowly away.
Course winner over 6f when making her handicap debut off a mark of 58. Runs here off her higher AW mark but this 7f trip looks a touch too far for her with all her best form coming over a furlong shorter.
Has shown ability in three starts in maiden over trips up to 7f. Not at her best last time out (ridden too aggressively) and an interesting contender starting out in handicaps off what looks to be a competitive mark.
Three-time handicap winner (twice over 7f) with the latest win coming off a mark of 60 at Brighton on her penultimate start. Not the most reliable though and despite that Brighton form being franked she ran below-par last time out.
Her last two wins have come over this C&D but off lower marks than she runs off today with the last win very much coming out of the blue. Has won off similar marks on turf before although this mark has proved beyond her on the AW and the stable are struggling for form a little at the moment.
The one previous run that she had in a handicap over 6f didn't really go to plan and she failed to run any better returned to maiden company next time. Now returns from a break with a bit to prove back in handicaps despite the fact that the handicapper has dropped her 5lb.
C&D winner who gained her first career win here after being dropped a long way in the handicap. Maintained that level of form afterwards off a 7lb higher mark taking two runner-up slots and then turned in a career best to win on turf at Musselburgh last time. Visor which appears to have been the catalyst to her improvement is retained here and she should run well again despite the further 6lb rise.
Forecasts
Lucymai (6/4), East Coast Lady (6/1), Tigserin (6/1), Hipz (6/1), Isntshesomething (7/1), Under The Covers (11/1), Tulip Dress (12/1), Loveatfirstsight (12/1)
This could well be about the two at the top and bottom of the handicap Lucymai and ISNTSHESOMETHING with the latter given the nod over the former despite having to cope with another rise in the weights. Under The Covers would be suited by a more conservative ride and if she gets that could well make her mark on her handicap debut. Hipz, East Coast Lady and Tulip Dress are all capable at this level but all have their quirks which may well prevent them from winning here although none of them could be ruled out of the places.
- Isntshesomething
- Lucymai
- Under The Covers
