A dual winner over hurdles last year it's been a long time since he's won on the Flat with his only two wins coming back over considerably shorter back in 2014. His recent Flat form has begged more questions than answers and he's started to look a difficult and awkward ride.
Wins either side of Xmas showed that she was capable over staying trips both victories coming around this course over shorter. The second of those wins demonstrated that she looked to have the stamina for this trip and that she could cope with this mark. Unfortunate to stumble at the start last time causing the rider to pull up and no surprise to see her bounce back here and improve her record at this course.
Clearly relished the 4f increase in distance when winning on his second start in a handicap (over C&D) having previously been campaigned over much shorter. Followed up that initial win after a seven month break with an all-the-way win at Kempton Park over 2m and he looks open to further improvement for a yard that are going well at the moment.
Formerly a decent handicapper and was well backed last time out as connections looked to take advantage of what is now a lenient mark returned to a staying trip. Unlucky on the day to come across an improver he runs off the same mark (62) here although once again he faces some young up and coming types.

Forecasts
Next Train's Gone (10/11), Taper Tantrum (7/2), Lost The Moon (7/2), Masterson (7/2), Teak (5/1), Zakatal (10/1)
This looks about the best and most interesting race on the card with at least a couple of progressive and improving types going head-to-head. Lost The Moon looked unlucky here on her last start but her previous form entitles her to a very healthy respect here. She may be unlucky to come up against NEXT TRAIN'S GONE who hails from a yard going well currently and who has blossomed over staying trips as suggested by his pedigree. Masterson and Zakatal are two others that make this competitive and the old boy Teak looks unlucky to run into more improvers as connections bid to exploit a favouarble mark.
