Winner three times over hurdles during the 2013/14 season including twice at the highest level. Had just two runs since winning a Grade 1 3m novice hurdle at Punchestown (good-to-yielding) in April 2014 and likely to prove hard to beat on chasing debut today.

Placed four times from six runs over hurdles including when beaten a neck in a novice handicap chase at Sandown (good) over 2m4f last time out. Useful hurdler a couple of years ago and interesting if returning to that form.

Moderate maiden and beaten 29L when second of four at Warwick (good) last time. Has plenty to find if she's to register a first win today.

Forecasts

Brother Tedd (10/11), Beat That (10/11), Black Corton (2/1), Vodka 'n Tonic (33/1), Mari Me Oscar (40/1)

Verdict

BEAT THAT ran well enough on his return from over two years off the track at Sandown last month to suggest that he retains enough ability to take a race of this nature. The selection finished sixth of eight on that occasion and can get the better of Black Corton who himself has some decent form over hurdles while Brother Tedd can take third in what looks a strong event quality wise for this time of year.
  1. Beat That
  2. Black Corton
  3. Brother Tedd
