Won only previous visit here (1m, good) a year ago and a model of consistency since over 7f and 1m, including when a runner-up at Ascot on return. No margin for error but should again run his race.
Acts on any ground and progressed to hold his own in sprinting Group company last season, finishing third in the Duke of York Stakes over C&D. Reappears with yard in great form but yet to prove he stays 7f.
Scored from a big field over C&D in July (good to firm) and has remained competitive off higher marks. Ran better than bare result suggests over 1m here last week and drop to 7f no inconvenience. Big player.
Better strike-rate over 6f than over this trip but shaped encouragingly on his reappearance at Ripon (6f, good). Looks feasibly-treated if putting his best foot forward and easier ground wouldn't be an issue.
Came good to rattle off an excellent hat-trick over 1m last summer but couldn't quite handle the jump into Listed company. Reappears back in a handicap 8lb above last win and still has something to prove over 7f.
Twice a winner on the AW over 7f and 1m early last year and unlucky not to add to his tally since, including on turf. Capable of better than he showed at Haydock last time and hard to rule out.

Forecasts
Firmament (7/4), Get Knotted (7/2), Danzeno (4/1), Perfect Pasture (4/1), Golden Stunner (7/1), War Glory (8/1), Right Touch (8/1)
An open-looking race in which the 7f trip is the issue. Perfect Pasture and Danzeno are classy sprinters, while Golden Stunner has much to recommend her over 1m but all three have question marks against them over this intermediate distance. With that in mind, it could pay to side with proven C&D performer GET KNOTTED who is capable of stepping up on what he showed over 1m here last week with Firmament also fully respected.
- Get Knotted
- Firmament
- War Glory
