Bumper winner who made it fifth time lucky over hurdles when winning a C&D handicap last time. Back in novice company, he has to concede weight all round, but he is in form and likes the track so warrants respect.
Attracting jumping pedigree, but only hinted at ability in bumpers and two cracks at hurdles have revealed little potential. Can only be watched until showing better.
Won a bumper at Market Rasen in May, last year, and, after a break, finished 10th of 14 in a Doncaster maiden hurdle on his jumping debut in January. That race was won by a decent horse and this is easier, but he may still struggle against a couple of these rivals.
Has shown plenty of promise over hurdles since joining his current yard and there was no disgrace in defeat at the hands of a fair novice in a warm little race at Fakenham last time. This is much more winnable and he looks the prime contender.
One of the few Aidan O'Brien horses not to win on the Flat, he has run twice for his current yard, making a promising hurdling debut at Ascot before running down the field in a Goodwood handicap on the Flat. Back hurdling, he has sound claims if able to back up that debut over timber.

This looks an ideal opportunity for FORTIFIED BAY to get off the mark over hurdles. He ran well against a useful rival last time and a reproduction of that should be good enough to take care of the penalised Positively Dylan and Three Star General, who shaped well on his hurdling debut at Ascot. Cougar's Gold should do better following his bow over timber at Doncaster.
