Zoffany colt, cost €120,000 as a foal, £45,000 as a yearling and £75,000 as a Breeze-Up purchase. Closely related to French middle distance winner Natural Leader. Half-brother to four winners, mostly over further than this trip. Likely to want some rain to fall given his close relations and yard in excellent form; capable of going well from an ideal draw.
Havana Gold colt, cost 38,000 gns as a foal and 60,000 gns as a yearling. Excellent start in a Newbury maiden last month when runner-up despite running a bit green and sets the standard here.
Lethal Force colt, cost 16,000 gns as a foal and £16,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to the useful sprinters Rex Imperator and Lexington Place. Yard do well with their two-year-olds but didn't show a whole lot on debut at York at the Dante meeting and this draw doesn't look ideal. Good jockey booking at least.
Kodiac colt, cost €77,000 as a foal and £100,000 as a yearling. Only minor promise on debut last month and while this step up in trip should help, he's likely to want even further. Yard have a good record with their younger horses here.
Dandy Man gelding, cost 8,000 gns as a foal and £22,000 as a yearling. Dam was a smart stayer and a half-sister to Listed winner Shifting Power. Trainer not known for his debut winners and yard have been a little quiet; likely to want further than this.
Dark Angel colt, cost £280,000 as a yearling. Dam was a three-time Listed sprint winner and closely related to 5f Group 3 winner Swiss Spirit. Very nice looking sprint pedigree and yard very much capable of readying one for a debut and are in good form but the draw is a nagging doubt.
Green on debut at Wolverhampton and didn't really improve on second start at Brighton. Not disgraced here last time but looks one to do better in handicaps and yard have been quiet of late.
Bated Breath filly, dam was a winner over a little further than this and was a half-sister to Listed winner Sandreamer and Listed placed Assume. Yard not know for their debut winners and likely to be best watched despite an attractive draw.
CHAI CHAI is an interesting debutante and he is taken to get the better of Headway, who sets the standard on form and the nicely bred Yafta, who has a beautiful pedigree but could struggle a little from this draw.
