Has not jumped well on her last couple of starts following her victory at Fontwell. Drops in class and one to respect from a yard that are profitable to follow at the summer fixtures here.
Stratford bumper winner who was in the process of running a big race when well supported at Kempton before coming to grief four out. Same leading rider again booked and this is his sole ride of the day. Cheekpieces are fitted for the first time by trainer with a good record here of 6-17 with this jockey on board.
New choice of headgear paid dividends last time but the form has taken knocks since. Needs to produce further improvement over a trip which has looked beyond her range previously.
Off the track for 20 months but looked fairly useful for Warren Greatrex. Awarded a race in the stewards room at Newton Abbot and not disgraced behind a useful rival next time. Market will be a guide to her wellbeing as regular pilot opts for her in preference to Viking Mistress. Stable have been going through a lean spell and, although they have had a recent winner, the form of their runners remains patchy.
Thirteen race maiden but has attracted support in recent races. Best efforts have come at this trip so interesting now dropping in trip and with champion rider booked.
Well beaten all starts over hurdles and a 31-race maiden under both codes. Not easy to see that sequence coming to an end even in this moderate affair.
Has looked poor over hurdles thus far but showed a bit more spark on the Flat last time. Worth noting in the market given better ground, new headgear and a longer trip.
Has been tailed of in all starts in bumpers and novice hurdles. Into handicap company for the first time and, having been beaten 48L by a 92 rated horse last time, the assessor is taking few chances.
Has dropped 20lb in the weights since the start of the year. Races too freely and hard to see an end to the slump until showing signs of settling better.
Well beaten in all starts and looked temperamental before the start last time. Hood goes on and one to be cautious about.
Two of her three victories have come here and this is her time of year. Weak in the market and ran accordingly on her return to action. Worth noting in pre-race trading back at this venue and with blinkers now fitted.
Only 1lb higher than when scoring under today's rider in this grade over C&D in September on similar ground. Subsequently beaten over different trips and then on return from a break in better company last time. Stable's horses have been going well on the Flat lately and a big run cannot be ruled out.
Winner at Bangor two years ago and lightly raced since. Beaten 10L when runner up there last time but the winner has gone well off a significantly higher mark since. Looks set to at least reach the frame if running to the same level and with trainer 2-2 in last 14 days.
Forecasts
Viking Mistress (7/2), Present Trend (5/1), My Cousin Rachel (6/1), Pretty Rose (13/2), Always Managing (9/1), En Joule (9/1), Princesse Fleur (11/1), Pennies And Pounds (11/1), Work (16/1), Malpreedy (28/1), Miss Benefitz (40/1), Choochoobugaloo (50/1), Berwin (100/1)
Viking Mistress is back to her optimum trip with the champion jockey booked to ride. The partnership have solid claims but PRESENT TREND makes more appeal as she bids to repeat her success here last autumn. She won with plenty in hand that day and has legitimate excuses for her subsequent defeats. She is only 1lb higher in the weights and looks the answer to a tricky finale. Pennies And Pounds represents a small in form yard and looked to be approaching her best last time whilst Penny Rose drops in class and has to be respected off topweight. En Joule is her rider's only mount of the day. That makes her one to note as he was on board when she was in the process of running her best race to date over hurdles before coming to grief last time. As a summer bumper winner she should be capable of winning a small race such as this.
- Present Trend
- En Joule
- Pennies And Pounds
