Half-brother to a 5f winner, ran out on point-to-point debut last week (when in front). Yard get winners in this sphere so worth a market check. Hood added today, which may help him concentrate.
Had clearly learnt plenty from a moderate debut at Naas when a good third to Billy's Angel at Ballinrobe earlier in the month, travelling well and throwing down a challenge in the latter stages. Chances of reaching the frame at least if building on that.
Bred to jump fences in time and will want more of a trip than this, but yard do so well in these events that she simply can't be ignored. Market will provide the best guide as to her chance on debut today.
Has run to a similar level on both starts to date, staying on well on both occasions and already looking in need of more of a trip. That experience stands him in good stead here though, and he should be capable of making an impression.
Not badly bred at all but yard no winner in these events in the last five seasons and others make more appeal today, despite the addition of a hood.
Forecasts
Mischievious Max (8/11), Winter Time (4/1), Another Day Done (13/2), Wat Tyler (8/1), Cornakill Rose (10/1), The Bronc (12/1)
Not a strong event for the grade and any market support for Cornakill Rose needs taking seriously. Preference at this stage is for WINTER TIME who looks capable of winning a race based on his third at Ballinrobe last time out, and will know more here. Mischievous Max is the other that needs consideration after two solid efforts to date.
