Not a terrible effort finishing midfield behind Robin Des Foret at Tipperary in April but couldn't build on that for handicap debut, finishing well beaten. Bit to prove now and needs the first time blinkers to have a big effect.
Winner at Fairyhouse over this trip in January and didn't perform badly when coming back from an absence at Ballinrobe recently. Will strip fitter for that and if coming on for that run, isn't without hope here.
Yet to win in eight starts and in truth, hasn't really looked like doing so. Hardly thrown in for first handicap here and hasn't shown enough to make him of much interest here, although at least is young enough to improve. Tongue tie may help.
Ran well enough over this C&D in March to think there's a race in her soon enough, and no chance at Perth next time (mark too high) and brought down early last week, so has excuses for runs since. Not out of this, with likely conditions fine.
Goes handicapping from a low enough mark but beaten out of sight earlier in the week and hard to see how he's going to turn that form here.
Still a maiden after 18 runs and only once has reached the places. Looks to have too much on, and likely to need this after an absence.
Just the two wins from 40 starts, so no win machine, and recent efforts on the Flat would suggest he's rather gone off the boil. Best watched today.
No win since 2014 but wasn't running badly last year, and will have come on for recent run after a nine-month absence. Could go well and may hit the places under likely suitable conditions.
Back to form with a win at Down Royal last week, staying on strongly to claim the prize close home. Only 4lb higher and not been with current yard that long, so they may have now found the key to her. Every chance of following up here.
Did better then he had been doing when a close sixth at Cork earlier in the month, although that was over three miles and this step back in trip not necessarily a positive move, but at least seems to be going the right way now, so not totally discounted.
Has come back form a break with two solid efforts at Fairyhouse and Ballinrobe, not beaten far in either event and likely conditions here fine. May need a bit more to claim top spot but should run his race again, and is on the shortlist.
Simply hasn't shown enough to think he can get involved here, and no better for going handicapping lately either.
Well beaten on all recent starts and looks regressive already. Others readily preferred, and makes little appeal.
Back on the ame mark as when winning at Ballinrobe last year, and likely quick conditions no issue, but recent comeback run after almost seven months away revealed little, and still likely to need another run or two before peak fitness.
Finds winning hard, as a record of 0-15 shows, and although not disgraced on a couple of recent runs, needs to show this trip suits as well as shorter, and just too much to prove.
Beaten out of sight and showed little on recent comeback run after a five month absence, and makes little appeal here.
Forecasts
Dangerous Games (7/2), Station Closed (9/2), Glasson Lad (8/1), Western Goose (8/1), Boogily Lane (8/1), Right Turn Clive (10/1), Caerleon Kate (12/1), Authorative (14/1), Bell Of The Ball (14/1), Graney Town (16/1), California Soul (16/1), Hatters Hero (20/1), Tortueuse (25/1), Phantasmo (25/1), Mississippi John (33/1), General Gold (33/1)
STATION CLOSED may well be able to follow up last weeks victory now she's found the winning habit, and the addition of cheekpieces might help her travel a bit better too. Caerleon Kate has had excuses for a couple of her recent efforts and could easily bounce back here, and both Glasson Lad and Dangerous Games are worthy of consideration too.
- Station Closed
- Caerleon Kate
- Dangerous Games
