Not seen out since last October, and needed a run to put him straight last year, so may need this. Some solid effort sunder these conditions last season though, so can't be discounted, although others preferred.
First run for new yard, and has won first time up for a change of scenery before, so that can be viewed as a positive, but not getting any younger and hasn't been seen out for over a year. Handicapper has given him a chance though, so worth a look in the market.
In great form at present and followed up his C&D win with another good effort at Clonmel last week, finding only the back-to-form Stormey too good late on. Up another 3lb for that but every chance of victory if in the same form. Likely conditions fine.
Hold-up performer that's been in good form for the most part of the spring, and looks on the countdown to a win if latest couple of efforts are anything to go by. Must hold chances under conditions likely to be up his street once again.
Old boy likes to go from the front and pops up occasionally, and although handicapper is dropping him a bit now, he's likely to need this after an absence. Others hold stronger claims.
Interesting here on the best of his bumper form, which would make him look nicely treated for his handicap debut tonight, and dropped a hint that better might be expected on latest effort at Punchestown. One of the more likely ones.
Nothing if not consistent and is hitting the bar with regularity recently, and once again holds places chances at worst with likely conditions ideal. Nudged up another pound for latest effort but should be on the premises.
Won a couple on the Flat for Karl Burke and had ability, but became a bit sour and temperament started to creep in. Best effort yet for new yard when not disgraced at Fairyhouse latest and fairly treated on best of form for handicap debut. Not discounted.
Showed a bit of ability at Gowran Park in November when finishing midfield, and far from disgraced on the Flat recently. Not badly treated for handicap debut tonight and another that is worth a look in the market.
Form took a big leap forward when fourth to Fiesole over this C&D last time, although still has 12l to find with him (only 3lb better off today). Not without hope given what a step up on previous efforts that was, but still a bit to do to claim top prize.
Tailed off all recent outings and no realistic chance of success here. Others readily preferred.
Forecasts
Tintown Robin (11/4), Fiesole (3/1), Ardview Boy (4/1), Mountain Kingdom (5/1), The Invisible Dog (12/1), Buonarotti Boy (12/1), Up The Town (12/1), He's Our Man (16/1), Dalmarella Dancer (25/1), Mighty Whitey (33/1), Sister Slew (50/1)
Not easy to solve, with improvement likely from the likes of The Invisible Dog , Dalmarella Dancer and UP THE TOWN. The last named is worth chancing on his handicap debut tonight after giving the impression that there was plenty more to come at Punchestown last time. Some market support would help his cause too. Fiesole and Tintown Robin are doing little wrong at present and both should make a challenge at some point too.
- Up The Town
- Fiesole
- Tintown Robin
