Beat Dartmouth towards the end of last season in Group 3 company but the ground unlikely to have been in that ones favour that day. Not disgraced in the Derby earlier in the season and capable of going well and coping with a penalty provided that the ground doesn't dry out too much.
Won a Group 3 at Newmarket on return to action and would appear well-suited to fast ground. May get that if conditions dry out but he's the sort who needs everything to drop right if he is to be seen to best effect.
Winner at York towards the end of last season but well beaten by Steel Of Madrid on his comeback run and he looks a little short of the level required to compete.
Highly progressive last season with his highlight coming in a valuable Class 2 handicap at Newbury on his penultimate start. Bombed out in his bid for a five-timer at the end of last season when a well-backed favourite but may have been over the top by that point. Could resume progress here but yard form is a little off-putting and he needs to be ready to go on return.
Globe-trotting Group 1 winner who has won a couple of major prizes in North America over a mile and 1m2f. Been a little out of form recently though and possible he's on the downgrade. Seen to his best when raced prominently.
Back-to-back winner in spring last year and followed that up with a couple of fair efforts in Derbies either side of the Irish Sea. Looked an awkward ride on return at Chester but may have needed that effort and he was dealt the worst draw. This should tell us where he's at.
Has been well placed to win six of her 13 starts, with all wins being at around this trip. Her best effort was her most recent run, when nicking a Group Three at Windsor in August. Has won on good to soft and on fast ground so conditions unlikely to be an issue. Capable of going well provided fitness isn't an issue and not beyond improvement in the hands of this trainer.

So Mi Dar (10/11), Chain Of Daisies (11/4), Algometer (4/1), Steel of Madrid (4/1), Red Verdon (11/2), Autocratic (8/1), Mondialiste (9/1), Baydar (9/1)
The feeling is the world still hasn't seen the best of SO MI DAR and she may take this contest in her stride on return to action. Red Verdon is better than he showed at Chester last time while Baydar looked potentially high-class last year and may start his season with a bang.
