Winner at up to a mile last season and ground undoubtedly too firm when last on his reappearance. Well treated on last year's form and yard 3-7 in last 28 days.
Winner of a weak maiden on debut and well beaten when outsider for a higher class race last time. Probably has more than her fair share of weight for now.
Winner of a weak Redcar maiden on debut but stepped up on that when third in a hot nursery at Newcastle. Forced to make the running on reappearance but stuck to his task well. Not ruled out with yard ending a lean spell on Tuesday and trainer/jockey combination 9-42 here.
Overcame another slow start to land a gamble in a decent maiden here last time. Clearly considered useful as sent off favourite on all three starts and ought to improve for the longer trip given his pedigree. Yard 9-29 in last two weeks.
Made all to score at Lingfield in March but those that finished closest to him that day have done nothing for the form. Has dropped out tamely on his last two starts and hard to fancy despite trainer's current form (6-28 in last 14 days).
Has improved with each run and was the beneficiary of a good ride when stealing a race from the front at Lingfield on his final start last season. Bred to be suited by this trip and yard 27-105 with break returners in May.
Ground will have been too quick when down the field on his reappearance and the evidence of his Salisbury victory suggests his current mark may be on the high side. Makes AW debut and sire's progeny handle the conditions well. In form trainer and jockey are 7-31 when teaming up at this venue.
Half-brother to the yard's multiple winner Bracken Brae who is best at around 2m. Made his handicap debut three weeks ago over 1m6f when he raced too freely. Drops in distance but appears to be aiming too high in this company.
Forecasts
Alfarris (1/1), Galactic Prince (9/2), Pirate Look (9/2), Melting Dew (6/1), Haulani (14/1), Gee Sixty Six (25/1), Glorious Power (25/1), Villette (25/1)
Melting Dew is interesting on his reappearance now stepping up in distance. Haulani and Galactic Prince will be better for their reappearance efforts and their yards are going well currently. Pirate Look shaped well under difficult circumstances on his seasonal bow but the one they all have to beat is ALFARRIS. The Haggas' team are in excellent shape right now and, with the trip sure to suit, this son of Shamardal can be expected to improve again on his impressive run here three weeks ago.
- Alfarris
- Pirate Look
- Melting Dew
