Only one of his twelve career victories have come over this trip and that was over the stiff 5f at Bath. Has work to do here from a wide draw and having underperformed on his last two starts.
Last victory came under today's rider over C&D in November from a 9lb higher mark. Latest run did not suggest an imminent end to the decline.
Tail flasher who has a 3-44 career record. Has made the frame on 18 other occasions including both previous starts here.
Proved his Nottingham win from out of the handicap was no fluke by by finishing third at Ripon last weekend in a higher class race. There is now a discrepancy between his AW and turf marks so no surprise to see connections bring him back here, a course where he has won three races.
Two best recent efforts have come under today's rider including his sole success at Lingfield. Comfortably held on his last two starts and headgear now tried (trainer 0-31 with first time cheekpieces).
Best effort came in taking third over C&D when attempting to make all. Well weighted with Mighty Zip on that form but, having made the frame on just that one occasion in 21 starts, he is not one to pin your hopes on.

Kiringa will be all the better for her return to action last month. She is engaged at Lingfield on Wednesday and the yard do not have the best of records with horses returning within seven days (3-24). Frank The Barber is likely to be thereabouts as he tends to find it easier to make the frame rather than get his head in front. MIGHTY ZIP has shown improved form on turf of late and this looks easier than the Ripon sprint he contested last time. His turf mark has shot beyond his AW rating and connections seek to exploit the anomaly at a course where he has won three races.
