Horse A-Z
Maiden after eight starts in point-to-points, form in that sphere suggests this is going to be a struggle on rules debut.

Was twice runner-up in bumper last summer at Kilbeggan over 2m, struggled over hurdles at Cork this month on return from a break but, up in trip and with Codd booked, might have more to offer here.
Well beaten in bumpers at Down Royal and Thurles last year (six months between runs) and similar tale at Roscommon over this trip on good ground 16 days ago when fifth of 14, beaten 22L.
Decent effort on debut at Ballinrobe (2m1f, good) this month in a bumper, fading in the closing stages. May be all the better for that outing and has scope to improve on what was a 12ÂĽL defeat.
Primary gelding was pulled up in only point-to-point outings and has joined this yard ahead of rules bow, trainer is 1/48 in previous 12 month with just a solitary bumper runner in that spell (unplaced).

Dubai Destination half-brother to hurdles winner Finding Touch, finished third at Kilbeggan (2m, yielding to soft) earlier in the month on rules bow and may improve for leading yard.

Atlantic Waves gelding represents trainer with just a couple of winners under his belt from 41 runners in fledgling career. Has already saddled bumper winner from five attempts and booking of Katie Walsh is promising, worth a market check.

Done nothing in five runs to suggest she'll be taking a hand in the finish here, and others readily preferred, though there was slightly more from her at Downpatrick (2m1f, good) five days ago.
Beneficial mare makes racecourse bow, trainer yet to saddle bumper winner (0/17) though has useful jockey booked here and this isn't an especially tough race.
Court Cave mare is closely related to bumper winner Ballycrystal and looks to be one of the more appealing newcomers on show, market can steer expectations.
Maiden point-to-pointer who would presumably benefit from her first outing over hurdles, though is fit having run earlier this month.

Forecasts

Major Destination (9/10), Bensachuine (10/3), Chateauneuf Du Pap (8/1), Battle Hard (12/1), Cottonvale (14/1), Royal Zorro (20/1), Mangan Julia (25/1), Musical Ava (25/1), Hannah Huxwell (40/1), Vivalino (50/1), Farrier Fury (50/1)

Verdict

This isn't a strong race by any means so it may fall the way of MAJOR DESTINATION, who showed up well on recent debut at Kilbeggan and also has useful point-to-point form to call on. Of the others with form Bensachuine is perhaps most likely to go well over this longer trip and with the champion amateur in his corner while Cottonvale has potential to improve having shaped well at Roscommon on debut. Newcomers to note in the betting are Musical Ava and Royal Zorro.
  1. Major Destination
  2. Bensachuine
  3. Cottonvale
