Point-to-point winner last May when making all at Inchydoney. Not disgraced on recent run at Tipperary (2m, good) but certainly has to improve on fourth hurdles start to win here.

One really solid effort from six over timber came at Punchestown on New Year's Eve, has been out of sorts since however and first-time good didn't bring any change over 3m (good) at Punchestown this month when pulled up. Headgear retained and down in trip now back in maiden company.
Not much to shout about in point-to-point / bumper form and two runs over hurdles recently haven't brought any improvement. Pulled up in 3m good ground maiden hurdle a Cork 19 days ago having been sent off 33/1. Down in trip.

Yet to be placed in nine starts over timber, despite some market support on occasions. Hopelessly beaten in 3m½f handicap hurdle (good) at Kilbeggan last month. Represents top trainer and jockey but hard pushed to fancy on form.

Placed in two point-to-points, but showed little in a couple of bumpers, better effort ten days ago in hurdle debut at Killarney (2m1f, good) and could improve over this longer trip.

Returned from 100-day layoff in a Cork handicap (3m, good) earlier this month, sent off 50/1 and pulled up. Efforts over timber have lacked promise to date, may struggle once more back down in trip in maiden company.
Yet to make the frame in nine previous starts on Flat / over jumps. Efforts in four runs in this sphere have been decidedly poor and doesn't appeal for this race.

Fairly poor on first three efforts, most recently when tailed off at Naas in February (2m, soft to heavy) and hopes for better would need to be pinned on meeting slightly better surface this time, which looks likely.

German-bred mare has been struggling in handicaps of late, including when beaten 37L over this trip at Tipperary earlier in the month. Previous efforts in maidens offer little encouragement.
Beaten 24L in a C&D maiden on good ground early this month on second hurdles start, will need to improve on that to get in the mix.

Beaten a long way in three 2m maiden hurdles so far, upped in trip now but doesn't look like one to be supporting at this juncture.

Failed to trouble the judge in six outings so far including over hurdles at Clonmel the last twice (once at this sort of trip) and likely to find a few too good on first run since September.

Showed some promise in bumpers last summer, returns for first run in 283 days and hurdles bow. Could have more to offer with tongue strap added and one to note in the betting in a race where there are few standouts.

Forecasts

No Secrets Here (11/4), Artical Eleven (3/1), Monastic (11/2), Julie's Luck (7/1), Karkadann (9/1), Ballinahow Bill (10/1), Bold Sky (12/1), Yes Pat (25/1), Oh'herewego (25/1), Jessicor (25/1), Niamh's Wish (40/1), Sheila's Steps (50/1), Shantelle (66/1)

Verdict

These are a modest-looking bunch on paper for the opener, based on what they've done so far at any rate. No Secrets Here made a fair start over timber at Killarney recently and can be given a chance of building on that effort now over a longer trip while Julie's Luck has scope for better on third hurdles start having shown some promise over C&D last time. Bold Sky comes from a leading yard and might perform better on the likely better surface but, given the uninspiring nature of his rivals, it might pay to give YES PAT a chance of scoring first time over hurdles on his return to action. He showed some ability in bumpers last summer and is making a first for this trainer now. Monastic has not impressed so far for the Elliott team, but may struggle to find a better opportunity than this.
  1. Yes Pat
  2. Julie's Luck
  3. Bold Sky
