Was briefly in a good run of form this time last year on the Flat, but has failed to build on that over jumps, and his record while hurdling stands at 0/7. Down another 5lb but others still hold more convincing claims.

C&D winner who has had a couple of relatively low-key runs on the Flat since last seen over hurdles. Looks handicapped to his best in this sphere and will need to show plenty more to have a say.

Was in the process of running a big race when falling over fences at Ludlow in October and has been putting in some creditable performances over both types of obstacles prior to that. Off since but has a chance if overcoming the absence.

Has gone very close the last twice and is unlucky to have gone up 8lb in the weights as a result despite not having won a race. Is not weighted out of it by any means though and another big run could be on the cards.

Winner at Sedgefield last April but has not been the same horse since, having only completed twice in five attempts and being well beaten on the other two occasions. Below that winning mark now but looks generally regressive.

Easy winner at Kelso earlier in the month and goes up 10lb in the weights as a result. This is a tougher assignment (the form of that Kelso race is questionable in any case), though she showed definite improvement to get the job done in such good style there.

C&D winner who hasn't been the same force so far this year and looks to be handicapped out of races such as this, for all that he has shown flashes of talent over both hurdles and fences in the past.
