Beaten 41L into fourth a similar race to this at Warwick last time (2m, good), but that is a little deceptive as the runaway winner had a clear break on the runner-up. Down 2lb now and better can be expected this time, even if he ultimately comes up short now with the benefit of a run.
Dual-purpose performer who was soundly beaten on his return to hurdles at Ffos Las last time. That 2m4f trip may not have totally suited him, however, and he should do better now down in trip, even if he looks weighted to his best.
Last victory came in April 2015 over this C&D but on the hurdles course, and has failed to make an impression since, including when switched to the Flat. Could do better now coming off a break.
Makes her debut over fences having recorded just the one victory over hurdles, in a low-grade maiden affair. Starts on her hurdle rating which should be fair enough, but is entitled to learn from this experience.
Sole win over hurdles came in the mud at Uttoxeter and failed to build on that in subsequent starts. Start to his chase career hasn't been solely convincing, though he has shown flashes of ability and is now down to his lowest mark in this sphere yet.
Forecasts
Tiger Trek (9/4), Yes Daddy (5/2), John Reel (7/2), Ethelwyn (9/2), Saffron Prince (15/2)
This is a relatively open looking affair that may go to YES DADDY. Robert Stephens' charge won over the equivalent C&D on the hurdles course a couple of years ago, and goes well fresh so shouldn't mind the break he's just had. He the tentative suggestion ahead of chasing newcomer Ethelwyn and the low-weighted Saffron Prince.
