Running for the third time for his current yard when finishing second of five in a Chepstow maiden hurdle last month. He needs to step up again to be in the shake-up but, with so little mileage on the clock, that is entirely possible.

Dual point-to-point winner who has had only four races over hurdles, three of them for this yard. Would have a chance on his third at Ludlow in February, but two subsequent flops make him hard to fancy.

Promise in bumpers, but little worthwhile form in five starts over hurdles. Too early to write him off, though, and it would be no surprise to see him run well for his respected yard in first-time blinkers.

Returns to timber after running creditably in handicap chases, but it is almost four years since he won a Plumpton novices' hurdle and, although he is 5lb lower in this sphere, there must be a chance his speed has been blunted.
