Battle-hardened campaigner who was having his first run after a break when a creditable third at Sedgefield earlier this month. Has not won since February, last year, however, and his 10lb claimer will need to find a tune from him.
Won off a 3lb higher mark than this at Fontwell last August, but has been out of form since and his latest effort, after a break, at Plumpton last time saw him eased from a long way out and beaten 60L. Shrewd connections need to find some improvement if he is to be a factor.
Five hurdles starts have yielded a couple of placed efforts, but his two runs after an 18-month lay-off produced a fall and a poor effort before being pulled up. Has plenty to prove for the time being and is best watched.
Fair level of form in novice hurdles, but was disappointing on his latest start when a tailed-off last of six at Fakenham. He is still young and relatively inexperienced, so it would not be a shock to see him bounce back.
Has had jumping issues and presumably health ones, too, given his nine-month lay-off before his outing at Chepstow last month. Not surprisingly, he shaped as though in need of that outing and he may be more competitive this time.
Fair maiden on the Flat and has shown definite promise in juvenile hurdles against the likes of Cliffs Of Dover and Coeur De Lion. Ran respectably after a break at Southwell last time and, with a tongue-tie attached for the first time and a leading jockey on board, he looks very interesting off this mark.
Three runs for his connections have been nothing to write home about, but trainer is adept at finding the key to these types and he is 15lb lower than when finishing in mid-division at Exeter three starts ago. Well worth a check in the market.

Some shrewd stables have representatives here. Royal Battalion is becoming dangerously well-handicapped, while Defining Year and Oakidoaki are weighted to make an impact. However, PONGO TWISTLETON could be the most leniently-weighted of the lot of them and looks primed to run a big race withn a tongue-tie attached for the first time. Tell The Tale is consistent and should run his race.
