0-14 under rules so far, but has made the frame six times, five of them during what must have been a frustrating winter for connections. Now tackles fences for the first time and the pace of things might be more to his liking. Likely to be thereabouts.
Another 14-race maiden. Second start over fences today after being well beaten on his first attempt at Sedgefield last month (2m½f, good). Made the frame over this sort of trip when hurdling, so could do better now stepped back up and handicapper has eased him so not without a chance.
Well beaten in all three previous starts under rules, with point-to-points proving to be more fruitful and even that form not looking strong enough in recent times to give him a winning chance on his return to the racecourse proper.
Runner-up in his debut point-to-point last year, but you would need a good calculator to measure the cumulative distance that he has been beaten in seven attempts under rules and impossible to recommend him today.
Has made the frame in a couple of Musselburgh maiden hurdles at around 2m and on good ground, though struggled to handle a mark 4lb higher than today's in handicaps. Grandam won a 2m4f hurdle, though other relatives better over further. Market check advised on chase debut for good yard.
8lb higher than when scoring over C&D (good) in first-time cheek pieces earlier in the month. Clearly relishes 2m4f on a sound surface and can't be ruled out in this follow-up bid despite the rise, in a race that probably won't take much winning.
Has already had three attempts over fences that have offered little encouragement, though he did at least make the frame over C&D (good) last time out in a novices' contest. 12lb lower than when last in a handicap, so that does offer a chink of light and a market check is advised.
0-16 under rules, but made the frame three times over hurdles from 2m4½f-3m on a sound surface. Well beaten from this mark over hurdles last time and now makes chase debut from 1lb out of the handicap. Probably best watched.
Maiden both in point-to-points and under rules. Beaten 59L on his only completed chase start and pulled up in a selling chase at Kelso last time. Dropped a further 3lb but now out of the handicap and we need to see more before he can be recommended.
The most experienced chaser in the line-up, having run in 17 such races and been placed eight times. Thoroughly exposed as a result and 7lb out of the handicap today, so not easy to enthuse about his chance.

Caution is advised here with Captain Mowbray an interesting chase debutante, who should go well, but several others with chances for one reason or another. NO SUCH NUMBER is 8lb higher than when scoring over C&D, but other than the rise he has a fair bit going for him and might just be capable of squeezing out another win before the handicapper has him. Leading Score can't be ruled out over this trip, while it would not be beyond the realms of possibility for Mr Witmore to come good and the same can be said of Near To Tears.
