Nice mix of speed and stamina and full brother Coeur Blimey was a useful bumper winner for Sie Gardner. Little disconcerting to see tongue tie applied already but yard have bumper winners at the track and has to be taken seriously.

Yard carrying all before them at present and this one, whilst not having any stars in the family, is bound to have been well prepared for Rules debut. Market will give best clue as to what is expected.

Yard are going wel land Brian Hughes a good booking, but rarely win these events (0-26 last five seasons) and others look more likely today.
Yard just 1-48 in bumpers last five seasons and we probably won't seen the best of this one until seeing some obstacles and getting more of a stamina test.
Well fancied on debut (for Kim Bailey) but too green to do himself justice and finished well beaten. Given time and new yard get plenty of bumper winners. Suspicion is we will see better here and is one for the shortlist.

Half-brother to the useful staying chaser Another Jewel, so likely we won't see the best of him for a while yet, but solid enough introduction at Down Royal and chances if building on that. Watch market for clues.

Related to plenty of chasing winners (including Truckers Highway, who runs earlier on the card) but tailed off on debut recently and needs to have come on an awful lot from that to get involved here.
Pedigree is decent enough (bred to have a bit of speed) and yard did have a recent winner, ending a bit of a poor spell for them, but this one would only be of interest if strong in the market.
Breeding suggests chasing will be this one's game, and he could prove useful in time. Yard yet to have a bumper winner (have only had three runners) but did have one run well at Punchestown recently, so this one warrants a market check.

Related to a couple of winning chasers/hurdlers but a rare runner for the yard in this sphere and best watched on debut.

Forecasts

Holryale (3/1), Captiva Island (3/1), East Wing (11/2), Tea Time On Mars (13/2), Ourville's Million (8/1), Toulouse The Plot (10/1), Many Tales (16/1), Working Leather (16/1), Spitfire Reggie (16/1), Hooves The Daddy (25/1)

Verdict

As ever in these events, the market will prove as good a guide as any but TOULOUSE THE PLOT makes most appeal at present. he's been given plenty of time to strengthen up from his debut and the yard do well with their bumper runners. East Wing is another that makes plenty of appeal on paper, as do Holryale and Captiva's Island.
  1. Toulouse The Plot
  2. East Wing
  3. Holryale
