Two good efforts over hurdles so far, and the step up to three miles seemed to suit him last time out. Should get a good lead from Polymath here and as long as the rain stays away, looks to hold a leading chance.

Ran best race to date over this C&D last time out, making most and only finding Fly Rory Fly too good in the latter stages. Cheekpieces on today and may be able to dominate this small field, so chance has to be respected.

Small field possibly not ideal as he can take a bit of a hold, but that aside, knows how to win and remains in good form after a solid second in a Kilbeggan chase last time. Had won previous two over hurdles and fully effective at the trip.

Has a little to find on form but clearly going the right way based on his close fourth at Ballinrobe last time, the tongue tie seemingly helping his cause. wouldn't need much more improvement to get involved and can't be discounted either.

Forecasts

Prince Garyantle (11/8), Foxearth (2/1), Polymath (11/4), Banquet Hill (12/1)

Verdict

All four hold some sort of claim to the win here, and this may be all about how the race is run. Polymath and Prince Garyantle both like to crack on with things and that may help FOXEARTH to pounce late and he just gets the vote is a tricky contest. Both Polymath and Banquet Hill look to be going the right way and it would be no surprise to see either take another step forward and challenge for the honours.

  3. Prince Garyantle
